Keynote · 10 years of Fandeng Reading in Toronto · Fan Deng’s first visit
Format
How do we handle anxiety, seize opportunity and keep growing at a time when AI is advancing fast and the world keeps shifting? Drawing on years of reading, research and hands-on practice, Fan Deng brings an in-depth talk on the future, on growth, and on the choices that shape a life.
The following event description is provided by the Toronto host organizer.
Ten years ago, few of us could have pictured the world we live in today.
And the decade ahead — what challenges and what opportunities will it bring?
AI is reshaping how we work, technology is redrawing whole industries, and the pace of change outpaces anything we imagined. Facing career moves, the demands of building a business, family responsibilities and the choices of a lifetime, we need, more than ever, a way of thinking built for the future.
Looking at the next ten years, each of us needs to rethink two questions:
To mark ten years of Fandeng Reading in Toronto, the Toronto host organizer has invited Fan Deng — founder and Chief Content Officer of Fandeng Reading (帆书), visiting professor at Xi’an Jiaotong University and former CCTV host — to Toronto for the first time, for an in-depth conversation about a changing era, personal growth and the choices ahead.
As one of China’s leading knowledge communicators and an advocate of lifelong learning, Fan Deng has shaped the growth of tens of millions of people through reading and sharing. As of June 2026, his personal accounts have over 18.9 million followers across platforms, and the Fandeng Reading app has passed 80 million users.
This time, drawing on years of reading, research, business observation and lived practice, he will explore with the audience how to keep growing in a fast-changing era — and how to turn uncertainty into new possibilities.
Ten years ago, reading brought us together.
For the next ten years, let’s get ready for the future — together.
